I Tried to rent Honey (imdb: tt0322589) last year on dvd , it never got supplied… Having patience this year the request was granted and I have finally seen it..
I never really understood Hip Hop, but despite the flaws in the film I enjoyed it (it makes a social commentary, and most strangely the point that ‘fame’ is not everything) which might be unusual for a film to deal with.
Getting back to the dance style…. A lot of the moves are lot like you do in Ballet so you have to keep one leg ‘anchored’ so you can jump and still ‘point’ legs/arms in both. Its more ‘radical’ than say ballet but they all use the same things
A ‘Hip Hop’ class might actually be fun. My apologies if I have insulted any Hip-Hop dance purists.
