Is idoru (amazon book link) music – or on the way to being it – comic book characters with ‘ugly’ musicians behind them – best be a pretty rock star now… .
The cartoon person I know the work of with ‘Tank Girl’* and Hewligans Haircut – the haircut book is mad as it takes everyday things and turns them upside down.
The other founder was a ex band member who I would not know about expect for him pissing off Bob Geldorf (*** a good thing) He also made mincemeat out ouf of Jonathan Ross – who is not the most inteligent tv interviewer person on the planet who trying to be all things to all men failed. The only track i like is o’Green World which was apparently single.
Having got my attention – I heard the album – the singles are ok, the other bits are innovative but are not catchy. If thats music industry ‘talent’ – then expect to see more stuff like this – the plastic surgeons better start worrying**
On an related note – the same record companies (bbc) would love to imprison me or anybody for doing this – yes this classic is apparently stealing thats patently funny. Perhaps plastic is not fantastic anymore*** ?
