Dad tried to buy a new Renault car last month as a family we are renault nutcases (thats a french car maker for you americans) I also drive a renault to, why ? well it works and they dont look ugly like a lot of cars do these days - 'imagine' driving a van - thats all you suv drivers.
I hinted here (my blog) at the problems he had, but on Sunday i caught up with the tale over Sunday Lunch (yet another blog entry)
Dad bought an an renault estate from a renault garage (he does not like buying cars) and last week they rang him up to say they ordered a saloon version by mistake. This meant that the order got cancelled there and then ouch. He then did visits to Volvo,VW and BMW garages as the renault model is also rumoured to be replaced next year he tells me and after the retards attempts i mean why bother with Renault?
The motivation to do this was that the old car needs a service and new tyres (expensive) and renaults while reliable dont maintain there cash value
So the new car costs £50 more than the renault, but maintains its value and saves him a £1000+ repair bill.
He moved brands too, will dad continue to buy renault? that could be a costly mistake by the dealer for our french friends.
Anyhow he is stumped as to how somebody could have fucked up the order so well.
The tale continues as if you remember this Well Dad rubbed the salt in too there wounds too, the insurance agent said -
we would not be competitive
Chuckle… thats waiters karma in action ….
