The last man in europe

This was the working title of 1984 that the author a person by the name of George Orwell thought of before it was renamed. With the British media becoming a censorship machine, or perhaps a historical rewriting service I present you this

‘Protection’ what a noble word. But is there something so ‘bad’ about having a job in the army and serving in either Afghanistan or Iraq ?

By keeping ‘mum’ one might accuse all english media as all being employees of the ministry of truth where history is made up to suit the rulers

If the media is to become a history rewriting machine for the royals, how long until you are asked to airbrush this event ?

6079 smith w (1984) im sure would understand but not I.

101.jpegThe bbc decided that they didn’t want to hear this comment, so i present it hear, Let us all praise the actions of Comrade Ogilvy before the thought police and the ministry of love show us the features of room 101.

I deny this media fact, being as it is fiction needing airbrushing from history. It never happened. For those of you seeking a visual record

And pay attention from 7 minutes.

Losing the ‘love’

In this (bbc) we discover a lovers tiff between Sony (my blog which i have written about) and a uk cinema distributor, shall i quote ?

She added the row between Odeon and Sony Pictures Releasing could have halved its takings.

So observe some things here, two monopolies are having a go at each other. A rubbish film was spared a wider airing in england, and nobody there knew about it until now, or the lack of choice.

OK American cinema rules but should it be seen just because it is number one in cash takings? What of those films that never get seen ? Remember the times when the multiplex did not mean spiderman 3 in all screens except at tuesday at 19:10 for the art film in the smallest screen?

Nor am i saying that spiderman 2 was bad, but should it be the only film seen in that time slot for that week? Thats the trouble with monopolies either making things, or distributing them.

OK so not all films have merit, but when all film releases get a sameish ‘comics like’ theme xmen, you complete the list here then where is the diversity that cinema promises ?

I dont see it. do you ? If ‘our’* appetite for the block buster was curbed by the the distributor then perhaps we can all curb ‘our’* blockbuster addiction after this and teach the film choosers a lesson.

What is most gauling is that the film in question is perceived to be a ‘sure fire hit’ regardless of anything else, that must be wrong mustnt it.

* not you, but the distributors choice
