Windows Vista is roadkill by any easy definition. It even hates older versions of the samba protocol. This means that if you dont run up to date windows then theres no printing unless its connected directly to you.
Decrapping vista is a large job on a new laptop, many of the files that could have been signed by Microsoft as ‘ok’ are not (i assume they must have viruses in and so had to go), however once you get most of office 2007 demo off the computer theres a lot of other crap still left behind
I’m surprised that Vista got out of the door. Multimedia support is a joke and don’t even think about trying to play an .avi (a video file) And when you think you got rid of most of the crap, you find even more – be it apolo 13, national geographic and other stuff.
