Is isbn: 9780441014996 and explores the authors time travel technique which in the ‘The Forever War‘ (my blog) he pulled off to great acclaim.
The accidental time machine explores time in a similar manner but views the humanity of the future with appraising eyes. There are no accommodations made to HG Wells* and the book and has sex in rather than Victorian fear of either the super intelligent (class) or the asbos.
It is a short book but makes it points on society and resolves itself quite nicely. It is interesting his commentary on physics.
3/5 Bananas.
*Wells is a pompous writer, and the critical spats George Orwell had at him are well worth the read. Orwells literary criticism is well worth a read even today, they can be found in the later of the 21 volume set of his letters.
