Is isbn: 9780765318411 and is up for th 2010 Hugo award. As a book it has a number of very strange marketing cock ups on it – including
- The old scifi brand that means Syphilis now in polish.
- Its not been made as a tv drama
- the rebranded Syphilis tv channel seems not interested to make it as a tv drama

Its brown ‘sepia’ text on brownish paper (not old but looks ‘old’) does not help either n readability factor and i dozed off several times while reading and not a good sign for someone who reads more than that one book at year.
Book deals with alternative world where zombies,amercian civil war and airships and likewise tech live in poisoned city called Seattle. That brings me to the autbors note at th end of the book explaining that it is fictional which seems to assume that some people think its not fiction.
It is action packed – in fact too much action, and the plot seems sloppy at times and relies on the action to reveal it, however it covers areas as such as polution,zombies,families and weaponising of stuff.
