WordPress.com now has a thing where non wordpress users can comment via facebook, and twitter. I think this is a bad move. Sony v Hotz [that guy who publicised hardware ps3 linux tips] Sony decided to do ‘Discovery’ on Hotz even going after names of people who donated to the legal defence in his name which was then sent to the eff.
So suppose a facebook user posts on wordpress.com blog, and say the massed lawyers of Sony want discovery of all that persons comments regardless of relevance to the ‘case’ or not.
Somehow when it happens and the discovery drags everybody into Sony’s view of being evil then please dont act surprised. Its also a good idea to avoid Sony products in this respect.
