Samba working it
I hate running samba on linux, not because of what it does as it does work and who does it but because it does nothing of real value. We only used it as an interface for cups which is something to do with printers for windows.
We now use cups and http to do the job, that does the trick and less memory too. It would be nice is those idiots at microsoft would support printers other than samba devices without crashing a photo printing app. You have to be a idiot to work at Microsoft
That’s Microsoft for you, it appears that you do need a pretty costume when you have idiots writing code at microsoft cause there shit at most things. Smb might have once been a good idea but then the idiots at ms clearly gave it there best shot.
There is some good to this, i have found a supplier who will sell thngs without windows. The less you can use of windows means why bother with the crap to begin with.
