Oracles and a problem of their making.

I don’t use java, so it would be safe for me to delete it.  Oracle would say i have to update java (no .deb) and while i am ok with that i cant see why i should.  So deleting java  seems a rather good idea and one less security issue for me on linux.

If Oracle are to leave many with out of date stuff and security issues surely that makes it harder to design and justify a java thing that works but in the real world leaves a nasty mess on the floor because of issues?

Oh if i have it you have it in some form.  It makes people lain Cockburn (my blog) this seem crazy after all he made java an attack vector
