A digital tv box of seven years died, surprisingly this staple item seems to be a rare beast to replace. Anyhow we get one for (cinderella) and it works. It uses scart for ‘low’ resolution and hdmi for ‘high’. In a momement of madness i borrow what is claimed to be a hd tv with a hdmi cable and plug it into the tv.
Personally i cant see much point in hdmi as yes the computer graphics wherre sharper but the broadcast signal look the same. Maybe the tv i used was not really 1080p ready but you wonder is the this ‘hidef’ tv thing a marketing scam
Granted this was the hdmi cable that came with the thing and was not gold plated or redefines the laws of physics that hi fi freaks love.
