There very special in Utah, sco-x, and now Corbyn Alvey who part of this case (my blog) agreed that bad had happened to Novell (now departed) but decided to vote against.

Novell is very pleased with the jury’s decision confirming Novell’s ownership of the Unix copyrights, which SCO had asserted to own in its attack on Linux. Novell remains committed to promoting Linux, including by defending Linux on the intellectual property front.
This decision is good news for Novell, for Linux, and for the open source community’.
Honestly not quite sure how or why sco is still in ‘bankruptcy’ after losing gpl and now even more copyright claims but i suppose somebody has to keep the legal profession in business.
I have to admit that Richard Stallman is a genius having the gpl defended and it being unbeatable even with the money of microsoft and scox trying to ‘hurt’ it.
With scox in tatters, how do you a software giant defend your crap against linux ? Linux is open to all.
Well Microsoft essentially have been patenting the commands of a linux box – essentially a command called sudo, and a command called gksudo which is an gui for sudo. There are some real idiots in the us patent office.
Recently ms was also passing off a software loader as their paid software when it had an open source licence.
It’s not good enough to show up the idiots in the patent office, and be caught stealing, while threatening to sue the linux community.

Sco (scox) was an american business that did what all desparate businesses do they sue people and that was there only product, they lost. To support scox Microsoft paid and put money there way to do anti Linux things and they generally fucked it up (search on Sandeep Gupta* , or sco in this blog)
Today is the day when voluntary bankruptcy, might go permanent in America becuase of no progress in making the comic busines viable, and so end this stage of fud from microsoft, and force them to start some new replacement fud.
Darl Mcbride is our man of the hour, along with some of his relatives in a law firm he comissioned will make sure that none of the debts scox owe will be paid, at least the the Mcbride family have done well symphoning off assets of scox.
