Japanese tv things

Since i am not a huge admirer of ‘british’* television I consider these as more interesting for there outlook.  It’s not everyones idea of fun but has a new perspective.  At the end i also mention a awful example just for comparisonand so not everything is great.

Is about food and is not an anime, although a prior version was and short in duration.  Could be seen as an advert rather than a drama. Expect a lot of fish.

showa genroku rakugo shinju

showa-genroku-rakugo-shinjuIs an anime and interesting for being wordy something that many things lose to action.  rakugo is a performance type and while its not everybody’s idea of fun i think it works well although it goes back in time.

Mr. Nietzsche in the Convenience StoreThis is a tricky one it looks boring but as a comedy is rather amusing. Acquired but well worth it for its Deadpan style.

japanesebarbieThe awful thing i wont rate is Iida Tokimeki which is about a city in need of young people, fronted by japanese barbie or ‘idol’ is something best avoided and proof should you need it that it is not all good and i can distinguish between good and bad.

So what are you waiting for ? Probably not the last one i hope.

*no that famous thing which you saw three hours of several months ago and nothing else of since and is not the entire content of the bbc.
