isbn: 97991847942032 is that Greek bloke economist who attempted to negotiate with the eu over there debt mountain (my blog) changing hats from economist to politician, and then back to economist.

So i thought it worth a read.

Varoufakis thinks that the events of today are due to results of 1929 (my blog) the breton woods thing, and 1971 when dollar unlinked from the value of gold.  Keynes is his man and he wants a political surplus mechanism to counter banks and there fair weather banking system which is risk free to banks.

Nixon an important figure in this

Debt (my blog)  is a contentious issue, and the morallity of asking future generations to pay it off (america has this issue too) is also called into question.

It is an insightful read despite many of the arguments being not new and points to a failure in politics and banking from central bankers to speculators.
