Bananas in the Falklands

Beguiling, Amorous, Nonconformist, Adeptly Needing Arousing Stimulation oh and Fantastic Kisses.

William Gibson (an author)

I don’t and never understood William Gibson’s mass appeal, while some of the ideas are/where ‘new’ the descriptions and his written work leave me cold. His latest ‘Spook Country’ leaves s/f and ‘explains’ map making or ipod’s something.

Hardly a new idea either – i have already done it. While longitude and latitude are not that difficult to perceive it seems too uninspired but it helps me understand why i find him underwhelming.

The book is not clear on what the thing is, or who is on who’s side so its a travel romp north America

Bit too much Apple macintosh inspired, don’t expect any hard core it here, flashing lights, or the usual cyber punk descriptions. I cant blame the writer for wishing to escape the chroot jail that we all preconceive with Mr Gibson

The title headings say much – wardiving (very early 2000’s) etc but honestly it has no tech drive at all.

1/5 Bananas.
